2023 Native American Medicine Wheel Sand Sculpture Calendar
In Native American tradition, all of nature can teach us something, or provide us with something we need, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The Spirits of Animals are considered especially powerful.
Be guided throughout 2023 with 12-months of my beautifully printed colorful and intricate Native American Animal Spirit Medicine Wheel Sand Sculptures. Each month's Sand Painting image is complete with details about that particular animal's "Medicine" and how it applies to your life, and a secondary photo showing more detail of the artwork.
The front cover depicts all twelve sculptures included within the calendar. The back cover details my biography and information about my Semi-Relief Sand Sculptures and the technique I use to create them.
Animals included on the calendar:
Bear, Eagle, Owl, Heron/Egret, Wolf, Raven, Lizard, Horse, Bison, Cougar, Orca, and Dolphin
*Note, photos show 2018 calendar dates - your calendar will be 2023 (all photos in the calendar are exactly the same regardless of year).

~~~~~
I learned about the traditional Navajo sand art, commonly known as Sand Painting, from a Native co-worker when I was stationed in New Mexico in the 1990's. From there, I have developed my own signature sand sculpture style, which literally builds up upon the traditional technique. In respect for the origins of this art form, I have embarked upon my Native American Medicine Wheel series. In each sculpture I take an animal and attempt to help the viewer understand various Native American "medicines" through symbolism.
