During the glass sculpting process, I'm often left with many pieces of tiny glass fragments. Instead of throwing them out, I attempt to turn them into something special, just like this pendant. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but in this instance it did!

I learned how to do lampworking, or glass sculpture in the late 1990's while stationed near Panama City Beach, Florida. My mentor was Russ Gilbert, the owner of Fusion Art Glass in the beach town of Seaside. I would walk the sugar-white beaches of Panama City to find driftwood and seashells, which I could then incorporate into my lampwork sculptures. I have done a good number of names, animals, roses, necklace pendants, and more.
